technology that, over a five-year time
span, will benefit 17,500 patient visits!

in whether an advanced piece of medical
technology is purchased.

Get game-ready
A Game Ready®Cool System, a
sports medicine and orthopaedic
medical device, is now available for
patients and athletes at Aspirus
Therapy & Fitness–Medford,
thanks to support from the Aspirus
Volunteers.
Through integrated delivery of
compression and cold therapies for
each body part (e.g., the knee or
shoulder), the Game Ready system
helps reduce pain and swelling after
surgery, during rehab, and throughout
training and competition.
“The Game Ready
system allows us to
provide treatment on
the go,” says Steve
Dietzman, LAT, CSCS, a
licensed athletic trainer
at Aspirus Therapy
& Fitness–Medford.
“Through its use, many
high-performance
athletes will be able to
accelerate their return
to sport games.”
“Knowing it has
been clinically proven to increase
patient satisfaction by providing a
comfortable way to reduce pain and
swelling, we were happy to dedicate
funds toward this purchase,” says
Dorothy Obenhoffer, Volunteers
president.
Funds for the device were raised at
a dinner theater event recently held
by Aspirus Volunteers.
A rechargeable battery pack, a
dual connector hose that permits
treatment to multiple patients, and
protective carry bags for safe storage
and transport were also purchased
for the device.
